Our rates are very competitive and for airport transfers and transport to conferences and corporate hospitality events are often lower than public transport costs.

We have a number of tariffs, to exactly match the service you require. This is not to complicate matters, but instead to ensure that you only pay for the service you need.

Whilst this makes it difficult for us to display a price list, it means that we can advise you of the most appropriate tariff for your requirements.

Examples of these tariffs are:

· Airport Transfers (reduced rates when departure and arrival transfers are booked together)

· Fixed journey rates (based on total mileage)

· Fixed journey rates, (based on total mileage) plus a lower hourly rate, whilst your chauffeur waits for you

· Hourly/Daily tariffs (usually used when you wish to hire a chauffeur for a fixed period of time)

· Sporting event tariffs (such as Royal Ascot – calculated either on mileage for drop off/pick up only, and a fixed daily rate, when the vehicle/chauffeur wait at the event to return passengers to pick up addresses)

· Chauffeur to drive your car (hourly or daily tariff)

We will always provide an accurate quotation of all costs, based on the journey and waiting details you have provided.

Usually there are no extra costs and all costs (including Vat) will be stated on the booking confirmation.

If the journey and/or waiting periods turn out differently during the reservation, to those quoted for (i.e. additional pickups/drop offs, or the chauffeur waits for a longer period than expected), additional charges may be applied.

We usually try to avoid tolls, but if you want your chauffeur to use a toll road, additional charges may be applied.

We have looked at many industry specific software packages, but we have never found one that captures all the information we need in a time efficient customer friendly manner.  In all our years of experience we find that there is no better way than for us to talk to our customer, find out about their passengers and their specific journey or individual requirements and then confirm everything with an email.  We are very experienced and we may be aware of things that may not be obvious to ensure that you or your passenger arrives in the right place, on time and has enjoyed the journey.  We can provide some reports, please let us know what your requirements are.

Home James was founded in 2001 by husband and wife team, Rod and Julie Parsons.

In her previous employment as a senior training and process executive, Julie often used a chauffeur service herself, but never really found one which offered the level of service she wanted. Rod had built a successful retail business, by not only meeting but exceeding the expectations of his customers.

With this combined experience, Rod’s passion for high calibre cars and their desire to establish a business which exactly matched the needs of their customers, the blueprint for Home James (which is still in operation today) was established.

The business started small, with Rod and Julie as the only chauffeurs. This ‘on the job’ experience, ensured that they both not only learnt exactly what their passengers wanted and needed, but also formulated an accurate picture of the challenges facing a chauffeur, and the exacting standards every future Home James chauffeur should aspire to.

The company soon grew and we now have a team of chauffeurs and office staff of over 25 people, including Julie and Rod.

The short answer is yes.  Our office is in Birmingham and many of our client journeys start and finish in Birmingham and surrounding areas.  However, we have clients around the UK, we carryout airport transfers to and from any UK airport.  We do cruise transfers to all UK ports.  If you require an executive car, people carrier or executive coach to take you to Europe and back we also provide this service.  We also work extensively for conference organisers and event organisers which may involve multiple pickups at a host of points around the UK, such as airports for international clients, or rail stations and hotels, to get everyone safely and comfortably to a single event.
